Service To Our Family And Our Community

We are Michael and Laura Myers of The Myers Law Firm. While we are fully invested in the success of each client we serve, we are also fully invested in our almost 20 year marriage, our precious twin boys, and our community. We serve our friends and community in many ways:

  • The Myers Law Firm sponsors a local KARM Radiothon, which raises money for Knox Area Rescue Ministries. Every day, Knox Area Rescue Ministries provides hundreds of hot meals to the hungry and offers shelter to hundreds of people.
  • The Myers Law Firm is a leadership cabinet member of Legal Aid Of East Tennessee, based on their annual giving to persons without means to afford legal counsel.
  • Mike serves his college fraternity, Delta Tau Delta, in a leadership position as House Corporation Board's scholarship advisor. In this role, Mike reviews scholarship applicants from college-enrolled fraternity members at the University of Tennessee, and selects the young men who will receive financial scholarships from Delta Tau Delta.
  • Mike is on the fundraising board for his sons' local middle school, and is an active member of the Gresham Middle School Foundation board.
  • Mike is one of the leaders of his sons' Boy Scout troop.
  • Mike and Laura are involved in their twin boys' church life, as well as their athletic and extracurricular activities, including cross country running, robotics, and Boy Scouts.
  • Laura is the chairperson of the Knoxville Bar Association's Lawyer Referral and Information Service. In her role as chair of this committee, Laura supervises the Knoxville Bar Association's efforts in providing thousands of yearly callers, who contact the local bar association, with attorneys who can help them with every imaginable sort of legal issue or problem.
  • Laura is active in her family's church, loves missions, has traveled on international missions trips multiple times, and works locally on mission.
  • Laura has taught as an adjunct professor at The University of Tennessee College of Law.
  • Laura speaks Spanish and has volunteered with and fundraised for Centro Hispano de East Tennessee, a community organization that helps meet the needs of Knoxville's Latino community.

Through these and other activities, Mike and Laura are committed to strengthening their family, their community and to serving people from all walks of life.
