Michael Alan Myers draws on a wealth of legal and life experience to provide clients with the superlative level of representation they deserve. Mike is a 1997 honors graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, and graduated in the top 16% of his law school class. Since graduation, Mike has worked extensively as both lead insurance defense counsel and lead plaintiff's counsel, and has provided excellent representation for thousands of clients. In addition to obtaining multiple settlements in excess of one million dollars for clients, he crafted the legal arguments and ideas behind one of Tennessee's leading published court opinions on the negligence element of duty, in the case of West v. East Tennessee Pioneer Oil Company, 172 S.W.3d 545 (Tenn. 2005).

Mike has earned a number of professional accolades and recognitions for his superlative trial lawyering over the past 20 years, including the AV* Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a designation earned by only the most experienced and most highly regarded trial lawyers in the United States, membership as a Master of the Bench in Knoxville's legal honorary, The Hamilton Burnett American Inn of Court, and a Superb rating from Avvo.com. Mike genuinely enjoys working closely with clients to help them move forward with their lives after they have sustained personal injuries that are someone else's fault.

Prior to entering law school, Mike obtained an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, and a Master's Degree in Counseling from South Dakota State University. From 1986-1994, Mike served as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force.  He served as a Missile Combat Crew Commander and instructor in South Dakota and as a course director and instructor at the Air Force Special Operations School in Florida.

Outside of the office, Mike serves as an active member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Delta Delta Chapter House Corporation, and he manages the Kelly-Edwards Memorial Scholarship, an endowed scholarship with the University of Tennessee.  Mike also serves on the Board for the Gresham Middle School Foundation and volunteers with his sons’ Boy Scout Troop. As a veteran, Mike is a proud member of the American Legion.
